Exclusive Friday AM Pitch Workshop
The pitch workshop is now full, but interested parties will be put on the wait list. Thank you!
Q: What if I didn't make the top 100 list for the pitch session?
A: If you indicated you would like to be in the pitch workshop, we'll put you on a waiting list and notify you by September 1st if any slot becomes available.
Discover the secret to the perfect pitch from award-winning published authors experienced in how to present a manuscript and secure that elusive editor or agent request.
Whether you plan to pitch your first, your sixth, or your sixtieth manuscript to agents and editors at Moonlight & Magnolias, increase your chances of hearing “send me your manuscript” by participating in a private Friday morning workshop.
In an informal, relaxed setting, publishing professionals dispel the mystery and ease the pain surrounding “The Pitch.”
First, an editor and an agent gives you the inside scoop on what they look for in a pitch and offer their insight into what works and—more importantly—what doesn’t.
Next, attendees separate into small groups where a published author offers her ideas, suggestions, and experience regarding your individual pitch, including what to say and how to say it.
Then it's practice, practice, practice with group members to perfect your pitch and alleviate stage fright.
Come with your pitch, enthusiasm, and learning attitude.
